In Memory of Tim Milleville

Timothy Andrew Milleville, 54, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday May 29, after a yearlong battle with T-cell Lymphoma. Tim lived in Portland, CT on their family farm with his sons Matthew K. and Mark P. along with his wife of 28 years Lynnette (Rau) Milleville.

Tim graduated Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1979. He worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, East Hartford, CT for over 30 years.

Tim was ordained in 1999 and started River Bend Christian Fellowship, Cromwell. He also assisted in the development of other ministries at various churches across Connecticut.

Tim enjoyed training and competing with his Border Collies in herding competitions and playing guitar. He also loved to learn about battlefield strategies and the history channel was his favorite pastime.

Anyone who met Tim was drawn by his genuinely kind spirit. He was always willing to help others above his own interests. The way that he lived his life was an inspiration to many. He was a loyal, honest, determined and supportive and hard working individual. He definitely left a mark on this world as he moved onto the next. You would be hard pressed to find anything negative to say about him, except that he worked too hard.

His enthusiasm influenced many people across the world. He regularly traveled to Singapore and India, spreading his wisdom and experience. The many patents that he holds through Pratt and Whitney are a testament to his intelligence.

His sense of humor was enough to brighten the gloomiest of days. His brand of witty and clean humor always brought others smiles, be it because it was really clever or that is was just silly. The atmosphere he brought wherever he went was that of encouragement and lighthearted fun.

His parents Bertram and Eleanor Milleville of Pittsburg, PA and sister Kristy Milleville predeceased Tim. He is survived by his two brothers Dan P. Milleville and wife Darlene of Ayer, MA, John E. Milleville of Milvale, PA and a sister Ginger Swickrath and husband Tom of Gibsonia, PA.

The celebration of Tim's life will take place at 2:00PM on July 2, 2011 at the Living Rock Church, 138 Route 81, Killingworth, CT. Tim's desire is that his memorial be a fun time so we will have a picnic after the service. The church has a pavilion, basketball courts, horseshoes and an area that younger kids can play in a protected environment. Other games and entertainment will be provided. Bring a change of clothing, blankets, chairs and a dish to share.

Dear Lynette,
I am so sorry to hear that your husband, Tim passed away years ago. I know you must rejoice that he is with our Lord but you and your two boys must miss him so.
I didn't know that you and Tim were planting churches and leading a church and ministries. How awesome a life you have lived.

I keep in touch via facebook with Chet's sister, Viv.
Chet had on his fb page the book that you have had published. What an amazing career you have with the collies.
In case you don't remember me I was with the Portland ministry that Joe Wagner had started. I met You and Tim there just before you two were married. That was so long ago.
I praise the Lord that you've had a full life of serving the Lord. What a privledge and blessing.
God's favor and mercy be upon you and your boys as I am sure it is and will continue to be.

Because of Jesus Christ,
In Christian Love,

Sherry Johnson

Lynnette, Matthew & Mark
I really got shocked to know all this about TIM.
Tim you are the best person whom i ever met,I loved the way you have mentored me, guided and more over developed the relations. I remebered when I brought my family to your New Portland house, where you took my daughter in your shoulder.
Lynnette,Matthew & Mark - My thoughts and prayers are always with you through this hard time. It's really hard to know and really what to say, except that I'm thinking of you in friendship and in sympathy.
Peace, Prayers and Blessings,

Sudhir Joshi

Lynnette, our deepest condolences. We met Tim when the Minuteman Bearded Collie Club came for herding instinct tests. Such a sweet guy and I know he was your rock.

I hope that you and your family will continue to stay strong and celebrate all the gifts he left you.

There are so many wonderful things that have been said about Tim. We think of laughter and smiles when we think of Tim. Like the time my contact lenses were bothering me during one of Tim's sermons. I kept blinking and blinking. Eventually Tim began to smile as though distracted. Later we joked that he knew it couldn't have been that I was winking at the pastor but it made him laugh anyway. Or the time he got silly while eating a perfectly stuffed cheese burger. He began to laugh as someone's comment and got the giggles before he could finish his chewing:D. Let's just say that provided a most memorable funny bone moment. Tim is bringing laughter and joyful worship at 'home.' There he will be awaiting our arrival. We can see him smiling with arms open wide to welcome us home too. God bless you Lynnette, Matt and Mark. All is well. love, DJ and David Cox

Tim was a man who showed the love of Christ here on earth.
His courage in the battle this last year should be an example to us all and we are going to miss his gentle spirit. We take comfort in knowing that one day we will be reunited.
